Meet our Doctor
Dr. Nady Wanis, DVM
Dr. Nady Wanis is a dedicated and highly skilled veterinarian with an international background in veterinary medicine. Born in Egypt, he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Cairo University.
After relocating to Canada, Dr. Wanis expanded his clinical experience through extensive volunteer work in high-volume spay and neuter clinics, where he developed strong hands-on skills and advanced surgical techniques. In 2016, he became licensed with both the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). Since then, he has been practicing in a fast-paced emergency veterinary hospital, where he is known for his calm, precise, and compassionate approach in high-acuity situations.
Dr. Wanis has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and veterinary dentistry, and he continues to advance his skills to provide the highest standard of care. His professional philosophy is built on excellence, precision, and strong advocacy for animal welfare.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Wanis enjoys traveling and spending time in the water. He’s an avid snorkeler and scuba diver, and he also plays water polo activities that reflect his energetic and adventurous spirit.
Meet our Doctor
Dr. Farag
From a young age, Dr. Farag was the child rescuing animals and trying to convince his parents to welcome yet another pet into the family. Guided by his lifelong love for animals and passion for medicine, he pursued Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1989.
Dr. Farag began his career in Egypt, where he practiced in a small animal clinic for over three years and gained additional experience working with pharmaceutical companies. In 2010, he moved to Canada with his family to continue his professional journey. In 2017, he successfully completed the VESTEP qualification program through the University of Guelph, validating his veterinary degree in North America. By 2020, he proudly called Canada home.
Following his accreditation, Dr. Farag worked as a locum veterinarian in several clinics and volunteered internationally, including in Costa Rica, where he served in a non-profit, low-income clinic. He deeply values the variety of cases he encounters and finds great fulfillment in helping animals and supporting the families who care for them.
In 2025, Dr. Farag founded Brookdale Animal Hospital with the goal of serving the Cornwall community and helping pets live healthy, happy lives. Opening the hospital also allowed him to be closer to his family in Pierrefonds, Montreal.
Dr. Farag has a special interest in general surgery and is currently pursuing advanced training in this field. He also plans to further his education in veterinary dentistry. His professional interests include preventive medicine, surgery, and stabilization of emergency cases. He is fluent in English and has a conversational level of French.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Isaac values an active and social lifestyle. He enjoys sending time with his family and their dog. Over the years, he has cared for many animals, including cows, bunnies, hamsters, and chickens. He loves being outdoors, traveling to visit family abroad, and spending time with friends.
